Whistle while you work

Andrew is one that just volunteers to clean. I am so lucky! Here he is sweeping the kitchen all by himself like a big boy. I'm so proud of you Andrew! Hopefully he will keep up this habit of willingness to clean through his teenager years.PLEASE?!?!

Is dirt fun or what!?!?

Not only was it my parents anniversary, it is time for the planting season. So today after dinner and FHE we helped my mom put her compost in and water the plants. The boys love being out -side now that it is finally getting warmer and not snowing or raining. I love the warmth!!!! During the colder months all I want to do is hibernate like a bear and not get out of my cave of blankets until the temp. gets to 75-80 degrees. Don't get me wrong, I love to ice skate and sled, play in the snow, but getting up in the morning doesn't work with me. Never really has even with children except on Saturdays when my dad would make hashbrowns, bacon, eggs, and toast while listening to Chicago, Simon and Garfunkel, or Neil Diamond( I prefered chicago back then but I like some of the other stuff now that I'm no longer a teenager). Just the smell of the bacon would raise me up from the dead. Sorry, memories. Got to love them! Here are the boys helping there Grandma Howard bury the compost.

A time to reflect

April 20, 1973 Provo Temple, Utah 9am

Today is a special day. 36years ago, my parents got married. Not only married for time, but for Eternity. This is even more special because 9years ago my dad died of Melanoma skin cancer. So I was thinking awhile ago about my mom and the picture of the Provo Temple where my parents were married and how broken the picture was. It was liturally taped together. The glass was cracked from one corner to another and in need of a face lift. Well, me and my sister Tamra were able to come together and get my mom a new picture. I was wanting to also put one of those plates on the front and put a special thing on it but ran out of time and money. She loved it anyways and as we were walking out of the room that it was in( mine/ the computer room) she started to cry. Now for some reason, us kids have always tried to get our mom to cry on holidays and special days. That wasn't neccesarily the goal in mind this time but it happened. I know that it ment alot. We love you Mom, Grandma!! HAPPY 36th ANNIVERSARY!! Thanks Tamra for the help.

The true geek in me

Is this geeky or what!?! And no I have not gained weight. I still weigh in at 112lbs. I'm just standing weird. At the beginning I had my pant legs rolled up, too but put them down once it was over so my ankles wouldn't get cold.

Tonight was the 33rd Annual dinner for Primary Children's Hospital. Every year they hold a Radiothon and my Oma and Opa donate. My grandparents invite different family members each year who are able to go and I got to go this time. There were 12 of us total! Every year the dinner has a different theme to go with it and this year was Geek Chic! It is so much fun! The hur' deurves( I totally butchered that one but hey, I'm not close to being French so oh well) were great as always and the main course was a fancy Chicken with red potatoes and asperagus. I enjoyed every bite!!

Then on to dessert. Two words: rich, HEAVENLY!!

I could only eat a little bit of it so I took the rest home. It became the leaning tower of chocolate cake from the ride home.

Everyone got T-shirts too. If you ever get to go, you will have a great time. So listen next year around March or so to KSL 102.7fm and help a great cause.

Easter weekend

Andrew and Ryan spent Thursday the 9th through Saturday the 11th with there daddy. They went to the park with a couple of Aunts and an Uncle and cousins. Then on Saturday, there Grandma Wilcox had a breakfast and Easter Egg hunt.

They had lots of fun! Ben brought them back Saturday night. That way they were able to spend the Holiday with the both of us. Andrew didn't want to put his basket down on Sunday, which made it difficult to make it to church on time( I was frustrated with that). It ended better than it started at least.
I love my boys!

New Beginnings

Hey Everyone!

I decided to join the club and blog. The boys and I are starting a new chapter, on our own. It's been pretty hard but we have been able to get through it with the love and help from family and friends. Thanks for all your heartfelt prayers and concerns for us and my family. We are slowly getting out of the storm and peace and comfort are shining through. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I am grateful for being and knowing that I am a daughter of God! We shall see what lies in store for us! Keep reading for updates on the boys and where I end up with school and career and who knows whatelse........:)
