Happy times, Fun times, and Learning times

Starting a week ago, Andrew got tested  to see if he could skip K and go to 1st grade. He did so well that there was no question in the school's mind why he wouldn't be aloud to skip. So good thing number one, Andrew gets to start 1st grade on Monday!!! AAAHHHH! That is crazy to think........
Good thing number two happened that night. After work I spent time with my children and then got them to bed. There was an Institute dance that night that a few from the single's ward were going to meet up there. One other was there til about the last hour of the dance. During the dance I kept thinking about Spencer and how nice it would be to get to dance with him and teach him how to dance too( he can't dance:) ) . I messaged him since I knew he was working that day/ night, and told him that he should come after he got off. He didn't reply for awhile and so I didn't think much of it until he asked where it was. Then about 30mins later he showed up!! SURPRISE! We spent the rest of the night together, ping pong mostly, and I taught him how to dance the  box step waltz. It was so cute:) After the dance was over we played more ping pong till they kicked us out and then he walked me to my car. I noticed his motorcycle and took a look at it. Nice bike he has! He asked if I had gone on a ride before on one and I told him only about three times. He then proceeded to ask if I would like to go for a ride. "I would love to!"( calm yet excited voice). It had rained a little bit so right before I sat down he said oh, just a second like he likes to say before being a gentleman and sat down on the seat so to take the main wetness and dry the seat off. So sweet and thoughtful! Then handed me the helmet and said this is for you, with a smile on his face :) So cute!! After the ride, he almost forgot to give me my car keys. I guess he didn't want me to leave:)  Will keep you posted on what happens with him and my dating life, which isn't much but at least it's starting.
And good thing number three was that I took my boys up and over to Park City at our timeshare for most of this week. Andrew and Ryan both have improved on their swimming skills and next summer I am going to enroll them in a swimming class. I have discovered that the things I thought Ryan wouldn't be scared of doing, he is and the things that I thought Andrew would be scared, he isn't. He has started to plug his nose and hold his breathe under water for a few seconds. Fun times. And who could forget the drama's that came every morning for no reason. It didn't matter what was said or going on, Ryan could be triggered in seconds. (Hopefully we were able to find a way to cut that down this morning) We did get to go to the Olympic park, Tanger outlet for shopping and playing at the playgrounds they have in the middle, and swam twice. They love swimming. We were miraculously able to get home with an hour to spare before I needed to go to work yesterday. Well, off to bed so I can get up for work in the morning. :) Will post pictures another time.

Good Bye Precious:(

So while my mom went on her cruise to Alaska and my boys were with their dad for two weeks and the day before my second date with Spencer, I decided it was time to take Snickers, our cat, to the animal shelter to be put down. She was only 9yrs old, however, she had been through some serious trauma in her life. At 6 months old, our primary class of 4/5yr olds came over and scared her to death and trapped her behind the toilet. She had a balloon pop right next to her and a bag stuck on her head to the point that she raced down the hallway scratching it off and jumping behind the couch and wouldn't come out or let me touch her for over an hour. And just recently, the eagle mountain fire in which we evacuated and she had to stay overnight at a free shelter for evacuees. She never recovered from that. She was wetting the carpet and even pooped once. She was far more jittery than normal and her appetite was not good. She wasn't herself and it was sad to see her decline. It was hard to let her go but it had to be done. I cried after I got to the car. She was such a good cat and friend. She always knew when I needed her snuggles and cuddling because she could see it in my eyes. I miss you Snickers!!!

Did a second date really happen??

Yes, Yes it did happen. Right after our date on the 13th, Spencer left to go visit his mission area and see some of the people he baptized and converted. When he came back to work about a week and a half later, we talked:) Wednesday the 25th we were messaging back and forth that night and were wanting to go on a night hike that friday. However, he had to work the next day on Saturday so it was looking like a no. Well, Friday came and I guess he thought about it more and that afternoon while I was at work, he text me and asked if I still wanted to go on that night hike and he wasn't going to worry about work( he still went to work with no problems;)). I said yes of course and so after we both closed our stores, we met up at the park near the "Y" mountain and drove up together. We took our time so we could talk and ask questions as much as we wanted to. I thoroughly enjoyed it! We got to the top and as I was about to sit down, he said wait a second and pulls out his jacket so I could sit on it!! That put a big smile on my face:) We saw shooting stars and on the way down saw a meteor. That was cool! We were up there till 2 am! just talking and laughing being ourselves. It was great:) After the meteor stop we continued down and I noticed something kept hitting my hand lightly. I realized it was his buckle from his backpack and made the comment that " your buckle is trying to hold my hand". Then he said no, wait and grabbed my hand:) So cute!!! We held hands the rest of the way to the car. And as always, he was a gentleman and opened my door every time we got in or out of the car. I really like night hikes. So peaceful and relaxing and not so hot/sweaty. Oh what will happen next????        ;)
