Trusting in Craftiness

Tonight for FHE( Family Home Evening) I was planning on going to UVU( Utah Valley University) for a free Valentine's craft night that also included decorating cookies and other activites. As we were leaving late, minds got changed and the car made it to the Dollar store. I just received a five dollar bill in the mail for filling a survey out in place of my dad. I was trying to figure out "OK, what kind of craft should we do that the boys like to do and is fun and cheap?" I went through a bunch of ideas until I saw two plaques that said TRUST. Then I saw blue and brown arcylic paints. I grabbed the plaques then one blue and one brown of the paints and headed to the register to pay. Awesome, a lesson on trust and an activity the boys like in one. After the dollar store, we drove around the parking lot to Walmart and got dessert( mom's treat) and a few other items then headed home. It turned out to be a good night. After the painting was over, it was time for baths. Ryan needed it more than Andrew because he was getting paint in his mouth, hair, and face. He even painted a little on his cookie.

I ended up repainting our families since it was all messy. My mom's is the natural wood background and ours is the dark brown with blue letters. Why the picture turned when loaded, I know not. Silly computer.

While Ryan was taking his nap, Andrew and I were in my room taking pictures and getting things ready for them to go to be with there dad for the weekend.

Family Christmas party after Christmas

These past couple of years we've been getting together at my Aunt Kathy's church building to have a Christmas party. The only available date was on the 9th of Jan 2010 so we took it. It was great! Even my Uncle Thor, Aunt Lori, cousin Heather, and her son Noah joined, coming from California. Great food Good company, What more could you ask for?

My brother David and Brother in law Spencer got into a game of Chess after we all ate. So intense......

This is Jack. My cousin David D. and wife Sara's little boy. After this picture was taken, David was pulling jack around in the box. When he was done, Jack's face gave a great big grin. So cute!
This is my Uncle Thor playing the piano. He writes music, books, and a musical play. This song he is playing is a new one of his that he's been working on.

The first Sunday of the year 2010!

Andrew had his first day as a Sunbeam. So fun! He is growing up so fast. And Ryan stepped up to the older nursery class.

Happy(couch,cough) Birthday( cough,cough)

Well, Poor Ryan had a sick mom on his birthday so we didn't get to do anything except watch movies. Actually that is pretty much all we've been able to do since Wednesday. Luckily I had bought his present last week so at least he had a present to open. We didn't even make a cake or sing. Not your typical two year old birthday celebration. So sad! My mom thinks that I have the swine flu. I don't think I have the swine flu, maybe the reg. flu but not swine. Anyways, speaking of being sick, it's medicine time. I hate taking medicine..................Picture will be up of Ryan and Andrew opening up the present. Andrew wanted to help and Ryan didn't mind.
