Just me and my mom...and brother

Nice profile shot of a male and female bald eagle just outside of the gates

Happy Mother's Day! On Saturday, the Hogle Zoo held their third annual mom and me day. It was so fun! They had special events for that day like music, face painting......

Ryan was a tiger, grrrrrr Andrew, well, he ended with a baseball on his arm
Does his face answer that question?

We also got free Ice cream sandwiches in which we saw Miss Utah signing autographs and chatting with people........And she was modestly dressed which I was proud to see.
When we got to the Zebra's area, Andrew got so excited. He loves Zebras! He said that it was his favorite thing at the zoo. They also had arts and crafts area so you could color( which I didn't see that area) and making hats.

At about 11am, I saw a wonderful sign and booth that said "MOMMY MASSAGES". I went straight up to the lady there and signed up for the 11:40 am time slot. So while we waited for that to happen we walked around the area to see anything we missed and found this fun bird. He danced for us doing a head dance like Stevie Wonder. So cute!

Then the moment arrived. I got a 10min. massage that I wish could have been an hour. It felt so nice. All moms deserve a massage. After the zoo we headed for a place to have a picnic lunch.....

However, we didn't get very far before they started dropping like flies. Ryan fell asleep about 20 secs. into the ride and Andrew dropped about 10 mins. so I decided just to go to the park near the house back in Eagle Mountain and that would give them an hour nap.

They ended up waking up right when we got there and they had a good time at lunch. They like watermelon. They are definately my offspring for sure. I crave watermelon all year round.
What a great day it turned out to be! Happy kids and happy mommy. What more can you ask for!?!

  1. Wouldn't that make a great book for the critter series and it could be about tagalongs? I plead guilty to doing that to my brothers when I was little. Anyways, side note for you all.
